Ariaú Towers was absolutely fantastic. We were given a significantly discounted rate on a upgrade which made the experience all the more memorable. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful at every
opportunity. We could not recommend this hotel more. My only comment would be that we were advised that our hotel pick up would be 10.50am when in fact the transfer bus arrived at our hotel at 7.30am and we were asleep. Luckily the bus woke us and waited for us to get ready.
Viverdes services were good. Luciana was very helpfull and quick to respond to any of our questions during booking, even when the website was faulty and would not allow us to pay for our trip.
Manaus and the Plaza Hotel are very disappointing. At the hotel the internet is down, the pool is out of order and we had to change rooms the first night as the aircon was so loud even when turned off that we could not hear ourselves speak. It publisises itself as 4* but no one speaks English, in our opinion after staying in over 50 hotels in the last 6 months that this is not 4* in any way.
On Sunday in Manaus everything is closed. If we had known this we would have flown back to Rio on Saturday.
