1,5 day after arrival in Manaus we were picked up at the hotel for a 5 days (Papagaio) jungle trip. This was our first Amazon trip and from the start we enjoyed every minute and everything was well organised.
\nTo begin with the booking: everything worked out as promised and the communication was good with immediate replies within office hours, incl the aftercare.
\nAmazon Tupana Lodge<\/b><\/a> is very basic as it should be on a place like that. It is clean, spacious and staff is very helpful. A place to feel home immediately and so beautiful!
\nReading the program we were expecting busy days, but on the contrary it was very relaxed. There was a good balance in adventure\/activities and your own time and getting used to the environment and temperature.
\nThe program was good and we realised how much this was thanks to our guide Fabio Abreu. He welcomed us at arrival, communicated his program always clearly and kept a good balance in meeting the guests and leaving them in their own space.
\nIt was obvious that he knew a lot about the jungle because he loved his Amazon country. However he did not overload us with information. More important he taught us how to look, listen and use all your senses with respect for the jungle.
\nSleeping in the jungle for 1 night was a fantastic experience for who likes it, especially when completely unexpected the biggest Tarantula ever seen (even by Fabio) shows her beauty for several minutes in full regalia.
\nLast but not least: I have mostly appreciated that Fabio was willing to let me participate in the full program whilst I unluckily had broken my arm shortly after arrival in Manaus. <\/p>\n
