Hotel Saint Paul / Amazon Riverside

Hi Luciana,

I got back to India early Thursday morning and am recovering from jet lag.

Here are my comments regarding the Saint Paul hotel and the Amazon Riverside hotel and the tour.

Saint Paul:

1. The restaurant (Sunset Grill) had great food and my family really enjoyed our breakfast and meals.
2. The service in the restaurant is also very good.
3. The first day of our stay, there was no water in the room, and they shifted us to another room. The bathrooms did not have a soap dish and there was no place to keep the soap during our bath.
4. Whenever we wanted to convert Dollars to Reals, the front desk did not have cash. So we had to go to the Taj Mahal hotel to convert money to Reals.
5. The overall experience was good, except for the few hiccups.

Amazon Riverside:

1. The stay at the hotel was good. The rooms were clean and well ventilated with nets. We did not have any problem with insects/bugs.
2. My mom had a problem with food, because she is strictly vegetarian. She had to live on rice, salad and fruits as everything else was non-veg. It would have helped if they had prepared a veg. dish for her. My dad and I enjoyed the food, especially the different varieties of fish.
3. The overall experience was good.
The Tour:
1. My parents found the second day to Lago Del Ray exhausting. They would have preferred a half day tour. This is because we were on the boat the entire day and it was a sunny and hot day.
2. The guide (Rui/Rue) was helpful.
I am glad to have engaged Viverde for the Amazon trip. My dad thought it was the best part of the overall tour to South America.

Keep up the good work.

Regards
Suneeta
