I have booked via Viverde a 4 days/3 nights stay at Amazon Ecopark; Luciana who handled the booking was very prompt in reacting and managed things very fast us.
I must highlight the transfer from Manaus airport to the lodge via a car and then boat that went super smoothly; having someone waiting for you at the airport and picking you up straight away was great!
The EcoPark was only 30 min away from the airport, so I would say this is more of a “light” jungle experience. Even so, for first timers as myself it was great! We stayed in a wooden lodge, which was pretty basic but very clean. It was quite amazing to hear all the sounds of the nature at night. The rest of the resort is quite well appointed, with a large restaurant with good Brasilian food and delicious fruits.There were also a couple of natural pools that looked quite nice, but which were not filled when we were there; that was a bit of a pity.
The excursions were also very nice; we had Marco Lima as our guide who was very knowledgeable and extremely passionate about his work. For me, the meeting of the waters was by far the nicest one; apart from the “bucket list” meeting, the whole trip on the Amazon was quite amazing.
All in all an unforgettable first time jungle experience!
