We both enjoyed our time in the Amazon and very pleased with the service provided by Amazonat Jungle Lodge from arrival to departure. Would especially like to mention the extra service Latonya provided us by trying to help us with our luggage issue including staying at the airport until after 9:00 pm (despite her friend being very unhappy about getting home late) so she could talk to the luggage people for us. Jacques was also an incredible host with service that exceeded our expectations (most excellent meal at Lenhador on our day of departure).
Once we get our pictures downloaded and organized we will gladly share them as well as additional details on our time at the lodge.
As far as any improvements go, we have the following. Our guide, Joseph, did not provide much information during our jungle walks. From the inputs we had from other guests, Cristoff, provided lots of information about native plants (medicinal uses, etc). We had also asked for special birding tour which didn’t happen. One of the days it was supposed to happen the guide, Cristoff, could not make it because his daughter was sick. Another day that it was supposed to happen, seems that due to Christmas it was just forgotten.
