Sorry for the slow response! As I think you know we had problems getting to Manaus so we only checked in to the Hotel do Largo in Manaus at around 11pm on Sunday evening and checked out again at around 3am Monday morning, for that reason I don’t have much to say on the hotel other than it was clean and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
With regards to Mamirauá– this was a fantastic trip. The lodges were basic (as we knew beforehand) but clean and well looked after, the food was excellent and the trips in to the forest or on the river were also excellent. I can’t praise highly enough the local guides, without their knowledge and awareness we wouldn’t have noticed 90% of what was happening around us. We were there as part of our honeymoon and wanted this to be a trip of a lifetime – it certainly was that.
I was very happy with the service from Viverde, all correspondence was dealt with quickly and helpfully, including the last minute change of reservations.
All in all, a highly satisfied customer and one who will definitely recommend you to anyone thinking of travelling here!
