Juma Lodge

Luciana,

Coming back home was hectic and I finally have time to write to you. Sorry for taking so long.

My family and I enjoyed Juma Lodge very much. Everything went well and we had a good time. My only disappointment is that in the itinerary we were supposed to stop at the floating platform to see the Pirarucu fish. They did not do that. I mentioned it on the return trip and they gave me some reason which I do not remember why we couldn’t stop. Other than that, I have only positive things to say.

After we returned to the hotel our guide, who had the day off, took us on a private tour to swim with the dolphins and to the Indian village. It was a bit far for me but my family really enjoyed the boat ride. Swimming with the dolphins was very enjoyable. We had lunch immediately afterwards in a floating restaurant nearby which was a nice addition. The Indian village was disappointing as there was hardly anything there. When we returned to town we walked through the fish market and plazas to the cathedral and had ice cream at the famous ice cream place. My wife and daughter took some time to go to the many stores. By then it was evening so we relaxed in the plaza by the opera House. We took your advice and went to see the free jazz at the opera house, good choice. We had to leave early to go to the airport. Our time in Manaus was enjoyable and we got a chance to see some of the things you recommended. I do not see Manaus itself as a vacation destination but if you have a day or half a day to spend waiting for you flight I think it is perfect for that.

Thank you for all your help, advice and back and forth with all the e-mails and all my questions. You have been very professional and pleasant to work with.

I will recommend you to my friends when they plan to go to Brazil.

Please let me know if there is any other review you would like me to give.

Thanks again,
Robert
