Tropical Ecoresort – The hotel itself was a bit of a disappointment from a sense of “value for money”. The hotel should not be able to promote itself as five-star quality as the hotel esthetically looks rundown (as if no money has been spent for upkeep – painting etc), and the rooms are “adequate” and have grossly outdated bathrooms. In the future, if your clients are expecting a luxurious hotel (for the price paid) – I would advise your clients to look elsewhere.
Amazon Tupana Lodge – Kerry and I had a wonderful experience at the Tupana. The trip to and from the hotel was well organized and an adventure in itself. The lodge facilities and our room were excellent (given the fact that we were in the jungle). Although we did not have much luck with some of the activities (alligator spotting, piranha fishing) – apparently due to the high water levels – other activities (dolphin spotting, sleeping in the jungle and visit with local family) were fantastic. The food was authentic Brazilian (fish/meat etc), and the fact there were very very few mosquitoes (black water river) made the trip more enjoyable. The hotel monkey and pet birds were great! I would definitely recommend this resort to friends etc. The only criticism that I have is the owner was apparently there but never introduced himself. In my opinion, he should be front and center, and identify himself upon guest arrival.
Viverde Services – Outstanding. I have travelled extensively and dealt with numerous travel agencies and I can safely say that you are one of the best. I appreciated how well organized, knowledgeable about the Amazon, prompt and professional you were during our trip planning/booking. Your recommendation of alternative airlines (AZUL) saved me a considerable amount of money – thank you!
