Tiwa Amazonas

Luciana,

We enjoyed our time in Manaus, and thanks for soliciting our comments. The best things were the guide Washington, the good quality food, the monkey that our kids loved, the bows/arrows, and the trips to the Meeting of the waters and lily paps. Mediocre was the food at the floating restaurant and the walk through the woods (only because we had hoped to also see rubber trees).

Most disappointing was that we did not visit the caboclo. We considered that one of the most important aspects of the trip, but Tiwa apparently did not coordinate it properly. When we tried to go, there was nobody there. We are not likely to be in the Amazons again soon, so this mistake by Tiwa was very very disappointing. Tiwa should have done better in this regard. In addition, Tiwa should walk through all options with the hospedes when they first arrive so that everyone knows what to expect. We would have happily given up something else to make sure we visited the caboclo.

Best,
Jared
