The cruise Iberostar Grand Amazon was excellent and will remain as a wonderful memory.
Our one disappointment was the lack of guidance and/or advice about the change-over day. The general manager did not seem to appreciate that we were staying for the next half of the trip, was far more interested (and worried) about his Vantage Group and might have ignored us and our needs for that Sunday. As it was I reminded him on Saturday evening that we needed lunch and what (if anything) was laid on for the next morning and/or afternoon. This second point he said was down to my agent, but as I booked direct I did not have one. Well rather than take a suggestion to explore Manaus on our own we remained on board. The lunch though was laid on in the restaurant, but just us!
So I think more advice and guidance on what can be laid on to usefully and safely to spend that changeover day should be given.
