Your (Viverde’s) services were precisely what you had promised them to be. Thank you for that.
The Iberostar Grand Amazon is a nice ship and I was pleased with most of its services. The occupation rate was approximately 30 %.
The guides spoke several languages. The drawback was that when I was on a multilingual excursion, the information was repeated in several languages which reduced the available time for any one of them. The hotel personnel including the waiters was less good with English.
Food was mostly buffets. It was also possible to order something from a small menu. For one of the Captain’s dinners the menu that could be ordered from included beef and lobster and that was excellent. These evenings French soft cheese was available. Other times the available kinds of cheese were more limited. I never had any problem with the food and the water we received on the cruise.
The rooms (and the balconies) are smaller than what I am used to from ocean cruise ships. Still that was okay with me. Unfortunately wet clothes did not dry, unless I dried them with the hair dryer.
The program was interesting and very intense. Stairs and excursion boats can be slippery. That can make passengers with walking problems uncomfortable. I had the choice of getting wet from sweat (it can be extremely hot) and soaked from rain (there can be torrential rains). Sunglasses, sunscreen and hats are a must. The guides provided water on excursions. I enjoyed the shows and presentations about the region.
One time events were:
The acting general manager standing on the outside stairs helping us off the excursion boats in a down pour with strong winds. Meanwhile the bar man on top deck was chatting with his colleagues far from the bar. On the last evening of my cruise the tap water started to smell. That night, as an exception, I used bottled water to clean my teeth. I hope that information will be useful to you. Thank you again for your help.
