Iberostar Grand Amazon

Olá Luciana,

We had a fantastic time in Manaus and on the Iberostar Grand Amazon cruise! The city is fascinating and cleaner than other cities to the south, and the only problem with the cruise is that it made us want to go farther on the river into more isolated areas!! The ship’s service, food and activities were 4-star, and the guides and launch drivers were the best, very competent and knowledgeable about everything; they all speak every language on earth it seems, and we had lots of fun with Markos and Samuel especially. We noticed only a few small items missing from the cabin…no clock, Kleenex or shampoo conditioner. And perhaps they could pass out a daily schedule to each cabin daily, listing that day’s activities, excursions and the names of places we were going, plus a map of same. But it’s a new ship and I’m sure in time all these little things will be worked out. Luciana at Viverde was fabulous from the minute I contacted her about the cruise. Reservations were made efficiently and quickly and she always responded to my emails immediately. We also appreciated the arrangement of the transfer from the airport with a very nice driver. In all, we highly recommend that anyone visiting Brazil go to Manaus and take a cruise…it was truly the best part of our trip.

* I’m sending some of my favorite photos – I love the children! – and of the ship so I hope you can use one. I read the blog and I think I spelled “Markos” wrong, it should be “Markus”, so maybe you could change that? Also, too much of the word “daily” so you might take one out and say “they could pass out a schedule to each cabin daily”. But not really important and maybe too late to make changes.

I hope all is well with you, we still can’t stop talking about Brazil and the cruise and even try to use our very limited Portuguese! It is always so much fun to try to speak a new language!
