Juma Lodge

Hi Luciana

Our Feedback:
=============

Viverde:
———-
– Homepage Viverde: informativ, good overview over the different lodges
– Paying: rather complicating (either your sytem or our bank caused the problem (or both))
– Thanks a lot for the support after returning from the lodge (transport to the hotel and checking the flights)!!!!

Juma Lodge:
——-
transport:
– we had to ask to slow down at least a little bit at the meeting point of the waters
– good compfortable boat (suitable for sun and rain)

room:
– nice, comfortable rooms: the last night we could stay in the superior bungalow which is espacially nice
– but: we had mosquitos in both bungalows and there are no nets over the bed!!! There’re nets instead of windows but this is obviously not enough.
Two of the quides suffered the same time from malaria –> the rooms are not adequate to the risk of malaria ==> therefore we would never return to Juma again
– very nice eating room and reception

guide –> Leonardo:
– he did a very good job!!! He speaks english very well, knows a lot about indigenous people and nature and take cares of the guest
– interesting trips
– many thanks to him and we hope he could recover from malaria

food:
– we liked the food, the chef did a good job.
– little detail: we like coffee after eating, normally there was none ((but we were to lazy to ask for one))

surroundings:
– very nice area around Juma, but we were a little bit disappointed of the not very high forest (obviously secondary forest)
– and unfortunately we didn’t see a lot of animals, we expected to see more birds and may-be a wild monkey

general:
We enjoyed our visit to Manaus and Juma!

Kind regards, Susanne and Urs Rüegsegger
